How It All Began
African Alliance Films was founded in 2018 by a group of passionate filmmakers and industry professionals who recognized the challenges facing film distribution in East Africa. Having experienced firsthand the difficulties of getting films to audiences, they set out to create a solution.
What began as a small initiative to help local filmmakers showcase their work has grown into a comprehensive distribution company serving multiple countries across East Africa. Our founders' vision was simple: to implement established distribution models that have worked elsewhere and adapt them to the unique needs and challenges of the East African market.
Today, we work with dozens of cinemas, streaming platforms, and filmmakers to ensure that quality films reach the audiences they deserve.
